Volunteering at the artworks
At the moment we have a team of volunteers helping us to do our great work. So unfortunately we do not have any volunteering vacancies at present.
However in the future other opportunities will surely arise! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at The Artworks in the Future why not send us your information now and be added to our database?
How to Apply:
Please send the following to volunteer@theartworks.org.uk and title your email Volunteer Application:
A covering letter of application (see below for details of what to include)
A comprehensive CV including details of all relevant work /life experiences, qualifications and/or training completed.
The names and contact details of 2 referees, detailing how long you have known them and in what capacity.
A copy of your Enhanced Criminal Records Check (CRB) dated within 12 months (if you have one already).
Your application will be considered by a selection panel consisting of members of our board, current volunteers & our volunteer co-ordinator, they may wish to contact you to discuss your application regarding suitable roles and opportunities.

Letter of application information:
Please send us a letter of application detailing why we need you as a volunteer! Give examples of previous work or experiences where appropriate. It could include:
Why you want to volunteer with the artworks?
What skills, experience & attributes can you could bring to the artworks (are there any specifics to the post you are applying for)?
Can you prove that you have a motivated personality that can get the best out of people?
Do you work well with people?
Can you demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised and/or as part of a team?
Can you demonstrate the ability to work flexibly?
Are you confident enough to ask for direction if your feeling a little lost?
Are you someone who is not afraid to challenge things that need challenging?
Do you have an interest in art, craft and design?
All of our posts are subject to a 3-month probationary period and are subject to full-enhanced CRB clearance. Please spend some time perusing our website to get a feel for what we are about.
