This will be a 6 week painting course individually tailored for complete beginners or for those wanting to further their skills and develop their own personal painting projects with guidance.
The course will instruct on how to begin paintings from both observation and from using photos. The skills, techniques and theories of painting will include looking at different artists each week.
Working from images and sketches as sources for paintings, the course will also study composition ideas for both figurative and abstract work.
Different painting application techniques and processes will be demonstrated through out the course. Colour theory and colour mixing will also be covered in order for participants to develop their own individual colour sense with confidence and creativity
Participants will also be encouraged to keep a visual note book as a resource for ideas for painting though out the course and for future work.
