This course will introduce students to Art Nouveau. They will explore it's influence over decorative and fine arts, architecture, interior design and textiles. Taking inspiration from the artists of this period, such as William Morris, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Gustav Klimt, there will be a focus on organic forms, composition, pattern and detail. Students will have the opportunity to work directly from images of pre-existing artworks as well as the option to create their own unique designs. The final outcomes of this course will include a collection of artworks that combine a variety of techniques including drawing, painting and collage.
The sessions for this course are as follows:
Mondays 10:00am - 12:00pm
