Ceramics Membership
from £30.00

A monthly membership includes:

  • Access to the ceramics studio for 3 hours per week (Mondays 09:30-12:30, Tuesdays 18:00-21:00 or Fridays 11:00-14:00).

  • Access to tools and basic materials (i.e., glazes, underglazes and slips etc.)

  • A designated storage space for your own materials and tools and shared spaces to store works in progress

  • Opportunity to exhibit in our members’ shows

  • Exclusive member offers on Artworks’ ceramics workshops

Your first month must be booked via the website- following this you have the option of paying via the website or monthly direct debit. New members intending to use our ceramics facilities must also attend an induction to the space and equipment.

A year’s Membership includes:

New members intending to use our printmaking facilities must purchase an induction, and book half day sessions as and when they intend to use the space.

Access and Materials

Ceramics Materials
from £10.00

Clay

All-purpose grogged stoneware clay with a firing range of 1140°c - 1240°c. From time to time, we will have reclaimed clay to purchase at a discounted rate.

Firing

The cost of firing work using Artworks’ kilns is £4 per kilo, which roughly equates to £2 for a hand-built mug. Bisque firings and glaze firings are charged separately. We will round up or down to the nearest 500g when stamping your Firing Credits Card.

One full kiln firing can be purchased for £80

1:1 Technical Support

We have bookable 1 hour support sessions with Matt Cameron, our specialist ceramics tutor.

Printmaking Access
from £15.00

Our printmaking spaces are bookable for members who have been inducted in our space.

  • Sessions available weekday mornings, afternoons and monthly Saturday mornings. A morning session runs 9:30-12:30pm and afternoon 1-4pm.

  • All bookings must be made via the website and paid for in advance. Please specify the date and session time you would like to attend in the additional comments. After purchasing we will be in touch to confirm your session date.

  • You can also book some technical support or advice from an experienced artist printmaker if this would be useful for your session.
