Heritage Open Day, Saturday 18th September

Artworks Open Day, Saturday 18th September, 10-4pm

Visit Artworks, The Everybody School of Art, and explore our art school, gallery and artist studios, all set in a grade II listed textile mill in Halifax. Our 1830 Gallery is currently showcasing the 'Our Greenham' exhibition.

Take the opportunity to visit our unique venue, a grade II listed textile mill in Halifax, and find out more about Artworks, The Everybody School of Art. Here you will find our art school with extensive creative production facilities and equipment, our gallery where creative practices and processes are shared and showcased, and our artist studios, where 20 artists and creative practitioners make their work.

We invite you to view our current exhibition, 'Our Greenham', in the 1830 Gallery, which puts the women’s peace camp into the context of the wider struggle against nuclear weapons and features the memories and memorabilia of people from the Calder Valley who were there. Work on display includes artwork, zines and textile collage created by women at Greenham Common.

We will also have a variety of gentle creative activities for you to try from our Wellbeing at the Weekend programme, an online programme designed to support our community's collective wellbeing during the last year. Activities are free to try and suitable for all ages.
